About NBC

Following Jesus together

Our story

A church that wants to feel like home.

At North Beacon, we are a community of people who want to follow Jesus, love one another, and be a positive presence in our community. Each Sunday, we come together for worship, biblical teaching, prayer, and fellowship. Throughout the week, we seek to carry those things with us into our everyday lives.

Because we’re a smaller church, relationships matter here. You won’t just be another face in the crowd—you’ll have opportunities to build meaningful connections, serve alongside others, ask honest questions, and grow in your faith. And yes, we’ll probably know your name—and your kids’ names, too.

We meet at 1601 N Nelson, Amarillo, TX 79107 — Sundays at 11:00 AM. We also gather Sundays at 9:30 AM. We'd love to see you.

What we believe

The Nazarene Statement of Faith, in plain language.

These are the doctrinal statements as they appear on the church homepage, each rooted in Scripture. A longer Statement of Faith is available on request.

The Bible
The Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living
God
We believe in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the Father, and will one day return.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer at the moment of salvation, empowering us to live for God, grow in Christlikeness, and serve the church and world. That the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
Humanity
That human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually. That the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
Salvation
We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
Sanctification
We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Return of Christ
We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
